Tisser Privilege Circle card
Co-branded Tisser Privilege Circle card

A membership your organisation can own

Your institution's name on every card.

Each card carries your organisation's name alongside ours, plus the member's own ID. It is non-transferable, valid for one year and reissued annually against your updated roster.

We produce and post the cards at our cost. Your members simply carry them and enjoy their member access online and at participating Tisser stores.

A considered partnership

How a partnership is set up

Usually four to six weeks from first conversation to cards in hand.

1

Enquire

Your president, secretary, HR head or CSR lead contacts us. We work with an authorised office bearer.

2

Presentation

We present to your board or committee — the crafts, artisan model, member programme and institutional benefits.

3

Agreement

A short MoU sets out the member rate, card validity, roster size and verification process. Rates are confirmed at this stage.

4

Rollout

We issue co-branded cards and access instructions. Your organisation announces the programme using material we prepare.

The impact behind the privilege

What your members are actually funding

Tisser buys directly from artisan clusters rather than relying on layers of traders. When a Privilege member buys a saree, a lamp shade or a hamper, the purchase helps create demand for the person who made it.

Need to know

Questions institutions ask

What is the member rate?

We share it during the presentation to your board or committee and confirm it in the MoU. It is not published on the website, because the rate is agreed according to the institution's programme terms.

Does the institution have to pay anything?

There is no published membership fee for the institution. The final commercial terms, if any, are documented in the MoU before rollout.

How do you stop non-members using the card?

Each card carries the member's own ID and is non-transferable. Online access is tied to a verified account. Cards expire annually and are reissued against the updated institutional roster.

How large does our membership need to be?

There is no hard floor stated here, but the programme is designed for institutions with an established membership base. Smaller groups may be better suited to an individual membership.

Can we use this for our CSR reporting?

Tisser can provide an annual impact statement describing the crafts, artisans and clusters supported through the programme. Whether this qualifies for your specific CSR reporting is a matter for your organisation's compliance team.

Can we combine this with bulk gifting?

Yes. Your named Tisser contact can coordinate both the member programme and institutional gifting requirements for festivals, annual days and special events.
