Lata Kachhava, 60 years plus young artisan-entrepreneur from Barmer, Rajasthan has revolutionized life of women at clusters. When she witnessed the life full of hardships where women walked three kilometers just to fetch a bucketful of water,she decided to make sure the picture changes in positive way!
Chunni, kashida artisan from this cluster presents a very interesting and inspiring example of how willpower and consistent work can change anyone’s life. Lata ji brought her to campus when she was a teenager to give her basic education and after few years she entered cluster. Her talent was recognized when she presented beautiful samples.
Puri devi at Thar artisan group, Barmer, Rajasthan works wonders with her artistic skills of kashida and blockprint.
Zarina from Rajasthan cluster helps in execution of plans of cluster. Coming from a defence family background, Zarina never thought she would be working in social sector.
Narmada Devi, 60 year young head of madhubani cluster says- “we need to reach the customers and get the business, especially after pandemic.’’ Her experience guides the cluster through thick and thin, as Narmada Devi stands strong with a smile because she believes in her art and consistent effort.
Sudha Devi, an experienced Madhubani artist from same cluster inspires with her thought process of taking everyone along in the journey of growth -from hand to heart. She facilitates different training sessions for women in clusters according to their specific requirements. This helps artisans to refine their art and skills to become more competitive.
